Why Use This Tool?

Keep Original Pitch: Normally, speeding up audio makes voices sound like chipmunks. Our smart algorithm preserves the original pitch, making fast audio books sound completely natural.
Lossless WAV Export: Our JavaScript audio engine re-renders your adjusted audio as an uncompressed, pure 16-bit WAV file ensuring absolute zero quality loss.
100% Private: Your personal recordings are NEVER uploaded to any server. The entire speed-adjustment process happens safely inside your browser memory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the maximum file size limited to 20MB?

Because this tool operates entirely on your device for privacy reasons, loading massive files (like a 100MB podcast) would require too much of your device's RAM and could crash your browser.

What happens to the audio length when I change the speed?

When you speed up the audio (e.g., 2.0x), the duration of the track gets shorter because it plays twice as fast. When you slow it down (e.g., 0.5x), the track becomes longer. The live screen will show you the exact new duration of your track automatically.

Why do voices sound weird when I uncheck "Keep Original Pitch"?

Sound is a waveform. Squeezing a wave into a shorter time makes it tighter, resulting in a higher pitch. Checking the box forces the browser to mathematically correct the pitch so voices sound normal. Unchecking it allows for fun sound effects!
